"I am not ashamed anymore. Even though I have my period, I still study at school."
Inna used to skip school when she was on her period, because her classmates ridiculed her.
As part of the School Health Program (UKS), UNICEF published a comic book for boys and girls to educate them about menstruation and menstrual hygiene management.
After getting the comic and being taught about girls’ menstruation, the boys stopped to make fun of her and other girls. And Inna is no longer skipping school when she is on her period.
But in Indonesia there are still many girls who skip school during their period. Will you help us reach more children like Inna?
